Seal coating is a protective layer applied to asphalt pavement to prolong its life and improve its appearance. The coating is typically made from a mixture of asphalt, water, and various other materials, such as fine aggregates, emulsifiers, and fillers. The seal coating is applied to the surface of the pavement in a thin layer and dries to form a durable and water-resistant barrier that helps to protect the underlying asphalt from damage caused by UV rays, water, and other environmental factors.
Preparation:
We begin by thoroughly cleaning the surface of the pavement to remove debris, dirt, and loose material.
CrackS:
Any cracks or holes in the pavement are repaired with crack filler to prevent water from entering and extend the life of your pavement.
Application:
The seal coating material is applied to the surface of the pavement using a special sprayer or roller. The material is typically applied in two coats to ensure an even and consistent layer.
Curing:
Once the seal coating is applied, it needs to cure for a period of time. The time for curing depends on the type of sealcoat used, humidity, and temperature.
Striping and Marking:
After the seal coating has cured, new striping and markings are applied to the surface of the pavement as needed.
